The Waka Sabadell nightclub in Spain has recently made headlines after an explicit video of an alleged sexual assault occurred within its walls was leaked on social media sites such as Twitter and Reddit. The Sant Quirze del Vallès City Council, controlled by the ERC party, has called for the immediate closure of the nightclub as a result. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the controversy surrounding the Waka Sabadell video leak and what it means for the future of the club.
What Happened at Waka Sabadell Nightclub?
According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday morning at around 6:15 a.m. The Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalonia’s police force) received a report of a sexual assault taking place inside the club. The victim received medical attention and informed the authorities that her attacker had not been arrested. This is not the first time the Waka Sabadell nightclub has faced controversy, as in February of last year a man was arrested for sexually assaulting a young woman at the club. In December, a violent fight involving 1,000 young people took place outside the club, leading to the Sant Quirze del Vallès City Council requesting the Generalitat (Catalonia’s government) to take action.

The number of events that have taken place at Waka Nightclub cannot be counted. Police arrested a man in February last year for sexually assaulting another young woman. San Jose City Council called for Generalitat to move after 1,000 teenagers clashed in front of the club last December.

When a customer entered the room, complaints erupted online that the concierge was “racist.” Two policemen were injured. The criticism was then raised and the Generalitat asked to intervene.
